We were to board KLM flight 0605 at the Schiphol airport last Monday; the flight was delayed 75 minutes, and boarding was an utter chaos which took more than 60 minutes. In the meantime it was announced that there might be some technical problems with the aircraft! It is horrible to be getting to the airports 2-3 hours early and then face delays as well as very crammed coach seating; I am giving up on any absolutely avoidable air travel.

And we were shocked to be hearing announcements at the airport calling for person X or person Y by name for the fact that they were asked to the gate soon (flight was being delayed for them--who are these superVIP.s).
