Yes we should allow compensation for kidneys! An average of 18 people a day die in the U.S. waiting for an organ transplant. I know there are many moral arguements regarding not wanting to cheapen our bodies by putting a price on them, or that a market in organs would exploit the poor, but 18 people a day are dying! We could significantly lessen this number if there were more organs available for transplant. Offering compensation of a kidney would surely increase the number of available kidneys.
