I think that all the politicians in Washington, Senators, Congress members, etc. should be paid only $1.00 per year until they balance the budget.  They are all millionaires anyway, but they want to take away from all the people that have put them there.  When this country started, politicians were not paid at all.  They did the job because they believed in America.  If the people started taking away from them all the perks and bennies of the job, we would find out how many of our worthless representatives really wanted the job.I also think that they should only be allowed to stay for eight years just like the president.  By the time that their term was up, they may not have learned enough to screw the   American as they do now.
