Let's put this whole Imus business to sleep. While we're at it let Cosmo Kramer (Michael Richards) of "Seinfeld" off the hook too. Yes, this may be old news, but it is now a blemish on the resume of two talented people. Here's the difference: Imus is a cranky old man with an axe to grind and Richards is only trying to make money to put food on his table. They apologized, said they're sorry, made appearances and shook hands with those that were so offended. What else is left to do? Yes, Jesse Jackson has to always put in his two cents and blame the white population for all the misfortunes that minorities experience. Hatred, bigotry and off-color jokes are a two way street in real life and in comedy if you approve or don't. Jesse Jackson was arrested here in Chicago this weekend for blocking the doorway of a gun shop that sells guns to anyone old enough to see over the counter with a wallet full of money. Jackson, Al Sharpton, and Chicago Priest Michael Pfleiger need not worry about Imus, Michael Richards, or Howard Stern. None of these guys on the airwaves advocate drug use or killing people. The only quick fix to the problem in many homes is a family and education and a man that does more than send a check in the mail once a month. Eliminate this, and maybe radio and television will take on a different form,
