Churchill Weavers wove the linings for the first space suits for the Mercury Mission for NASA and BF Goodrich. I have the photos. Our archive is huge. Mr. Churchill volunteered in both world wars. He retired at the age of 93 and passed at 96. He invented retractible landing gear for Roebling - the plane is in the Smithsonian. His wife Eleanor went to Wellsley and they met on a mission trip to India. The story is so rich - but I really need an AP or a Producer to pick this up and either make that feature available to me (Mr. Jennings), or do a short feature or both. We are high end and sell to the higher end department stores as well as the independant gallery and furniture stores. His Great GReat Uncle was Ben Franklin in FACT ("Churchill's of Oberlin")! Someone at ABC News please help me. Mr. Jennings found it important enough, I hope Ms. Sawyer will too. I love ABC, I only watch it in the morning, at supper and after the local news.....and I have a satellite way out here in the mountains - so my local news is the local ABC affiliate. While I am there from the 11th - 18th (for the NYGF at the Javits), I can come to the studio and will talk to any one at anytime. My business cell is 859-626-2876. I can send my production resume if it will help someone take me seriously. This is a HUGE problem in America. America needs her looms back, her designers, and her weavers need jobs again! And I'm tired of poor quality myself. Thanks again. The Loomhouse Lady - Tara
