In regards to Nightline's story about the woman suing McDonalds over the toys in the Happy Meals, when did people decide we all needed someone to tell us what to do, eat, think, etc.? If you don't like the stupid toys, DON'T BUY A HAPPY MEAL! She argued that it just started a challenge of "No's". That's what kids do! Do they take the toys out of cereal boxes? This meal has been around for over 30 years. Why all of a sudden is it so dangerous?

I'm sick and tired of people thinking they know better and want to force their ideas down everyone's throats! Instead of suing McDonalds, maybe she needs to look at her parenting skills. There ARE ways to stop those arguments. I'm 39 years old and Happy Meals started when I was a kid. But when my parents said, "No", it meant, "No!". Any arguments from my brother or me resulted in some punishment when we got home.

We're turning into a country full of wusses and #### who are so delicate, apparently, that someone else has to take care of us and protect us. I can't believe San Francisco banned certain foods they deemed "unhealthy for children". I think the parents can decide whether its unhealthy or not.

The problem isn't with the fast food industry. The problem is with US! Because both parents work all day, they don't want to cook when they get home so they get fast food for everyone. That's why there are so many fat children. It's the fault of their parents. Just say, "No!" Stop thinking you've got to protect all of us just because you, yourself, don't like it. Parents have to learn to be parents or stop having children. Many parents, where both work, don't necessarily need both parents to work full time but they do it so they can get just a little bigger house, and a fancier car, and trips around the world. So their kids never see them and lash out at times, sometimes to the world (look at the shooters in the Columbine incident). Parents these days have no idea what is going on in their kid's lives or even what is in their rooms. They don't want to "invade their precious privacy". My parents made it clear that as long as I lived under their roof, they had the right to do anything they wanted. If I didn't like it, I could find somewhere else to live. If the parents of the Columbine shooters had just looked in their closets, they would have quickly figured out something was wrong since they were hoarding the weapons and bombs right in the closet! Take some personal responsibility. Stop expecting the nation to take care of you when something bad happens. Anyone heard of savings? No, we're drowning in debt so we can live like millionaires without having to be one. If we don't stop this we're going to find a country that restricts everything under the sun and suddenly our freedoms are gone.
