I just wanted to write and say how sad I am that Nightline has become just another fluff news program. There is so much going on in the world concerning serious and fascinating subject matter that one would think that the writers at Newsweek could come up with informative programs about these topics. People in America are overloaded with "news" about celebrities and other fluffy topics and many are totally unaware and uneducated about the world in general. You would think that there would still be room for one thoughtful in depth daily news program for people with brains and curiosity. Maybe you will keep the viewers that also watch Entertainment Tonight and Good Morning America but I will be switching completely to PBS after 20 years of being a Nightline viewer.

Good luck to the Nightline staff and your contributions to the dumbing down of the American public. -
