We are told to get ready to pay $4.00 for a gallon of gas this summer almost like it was a fun spectator sport by the gasoline companies.

the reasons are as always:  tensions, in the middle east, demand, and no refineries to provide the product.

I dont doubt these companies could meet the demand without gouging the consumer. And if there were no tensions in the Middle East, Im sure we could find some. The fact is a new refinery hasnt been built by this country since 1972. Gofigure, they dont want us to get the gas excpet in a faulty manner so they can gouge the consumers, and is it funny?, is it a specator sport for anyone except the big oil?; hell no. And thats Bush and Cheney's "base" as it were, so its not my fault I didnt join the coast guard to keep these guys happy.
