Last spring several U. S. Senators were notified of the memo that went out to teachers of military children of all military basis to remove hand sanitizers from their classrooms. When there was no response from these Senators, a personal phone call was made to a live person answering the phone at the White House of the problem which extended to some military students in "huts" without running water, etc. Well, we are into a new school year and from every indication the swine flu is on the rise. A new memo to military teachers written at the start of this school year promises teachers that the government will provide them the necessary "hand sanitizers" to use in the class rooms. To date, across the nation, this has not occurred. Are teachers and military students to be considered "collateral damage" should there be a flu outbreak of epidemic proportions or have their parents not been called on to give enough?
