I am a woman who is suffering from trigeminal neuropathy. For more years than I  care to recall I have been suffering with severe headaches due to a bone disorder of my skull called fibrous dysplasia. My headaches increased after I had a few surgeries to remove the damaged/fibrous bone.  I was then told that I suffered from trigeminal neuropathy.  For years I have been prescribe different medications from depression meds, seizure meds and narcotics.  I have been on neurontin, ms contin along with percocets and more that I cant remember. Even though nothing really seems to take my pain totally away, I have had some success with dilaudid. I get that when I just cant deal with the pain and go to my local e.r.  I am at my wits end trying to get help for my pain. I am currently taking percocet 7.5/325. I take 2 tablets every 6- 8hrs, which takes the edge off but for the most part it just leaves me lethargic, in pain and constipated. My teeth have been falling out. I have lost 2 teeth already this year. I have went so far as to write my primary doctor a letter almost begging him to give me something that will at least allow me to return to work or even just comfortable. I have to fight for pain meds and my medical choices are limited due to the fact that I am on disability and medicare. What can I do or who can I turn to, to get proper pain treatment. Also, what is the difference between trigeminal neuropath and trigeminal neuralgia?
