To the Dr.s who have the power to change;

I have recently seen programs on TV about a man who cannot recognize his own daughter sitting next to him, and a woman who does not recognize her husband. I do not recall the name given to these physialogical defecits but having high functioning Asbergers' Syndrome can relate to not being able to recognize my son in a crowd where I cannot see his face. The treatment given the man was Oxytocin(sp?) to treat the low incidence of a neurotransmitter. I have always felt as if there was some element missing in my brain chemistry that disconnects me from the outside world and once replenished would bridge so many other autistic characteristics to a relatively "normal" state. If such a simple element could be a benefit to autism, wouldn't it be worth investigating? If there is a follow up to my suggestion, please let me be a part of the "study." I hope parents and independant Aspies will take note and pursue this possibility.
