My mom just went in to have an aortic valve and mitral valve replacement.  Earlier tests showed some calcification of the aorta but until the surgeon was able to get in, he didn't know how bad it could be.  On Monday, February 9th, they conducted the procedure and the aorta was too calcified to proceed.  We have heard there was an episode not too long ago of an experimental procedure involoving this type of problem.  Could you please send us more information or a link or copy to that broadcast?
