Hello Tory,

Please do a piece on moving from the private sector to the Government.  Their are thousands of jobs available in the government but the process is totally different from the private sector process.  I want to be a part of the recovery process.  I see recovery jobs on the USA Jobs web site.  I know that President Obama wants us to work in service to America.  I would like to make this happen but I will be bankrupt or I will have to accept another job in the private sector because the process is taking so long. 

I am a former Bank of America associate.  I worked for the bank for 9 years.  Because of the bail outs and the current economy my job was eliminated.  The Banking industry has very little to offer me now. Can you provide any advice on how to navigate more expeditiously through the governments tedious process.   I know I am not the only person feeling this way.  I have applied for over 50 positions and I have only received status notifications on 3.  I have scored 100 % on the quality ranking factors but still have not heard a word from them.
