My cat has licked her fur in a spot until the flesh is now visible below the fur.  I've heard that Neosporin is good to prevent skin infections.  Is this true?  She licks her fur into a raw spot in the warm to hot weather but not during the winter when the fur has regrown.  How can I alleviate her need to do this?  Thank you.
