Hello could you please enlighten me more on Feline Hyperesthesia Syndrome? Will any medicine stop the symptons and the pain.My cat Precious was ok until Nov.27,2007 and after alot of money which I did not have to spend and many Medicines (now on Clomipramine 1 x daily and Bupronorphine for pain) the pain meds she has been on this brand for 2 months now) her symtons seemed to be improving but as of 2-26-08 she seems to be back at squre one. Will she ever be entirely well or will she if we can find a medicine that works for more than a month be maintained for the duration of her life or should she be put to sleep. I LOVE HER DEARLY she is my baby not 4 years old yet and I can't stand seeing her in this way. She runs from me most of the time now because she figures I have medicine for her and it must taste terrible cause she hates it and slobbers everywhere when she takes it. She doesn't urinate as she use to ( she has gone for 36 hours with no urinating) and her meds are costing a fortune. I am terminally ill 4th stage and on disability and I do not get much per month for 2 humans to live own and 2 cats. If you know anything about whether she will be on meds for the rest of her life and feel well or will it just keep getting worst? Should she just be put to sleep and get her out of her misery?
