As a rural, 54-year-young, happily married woman, how do I maneuver the menacing, medical maze of recent changes in insurance carriers, policies, and providers, which included previous heart specialists, and courses of treatment. A part of that treatment being a visit with a dietician. In the midst of recent, on-set of new symptoms, I'm now dealing with that added stress factor, all of which is obviously affecting my productivity and ability to progress. All this is in light of a potental congenital heart condition with my strong family history of sudden cardiac death. Are there advocates available for women like me?
