I am now an adult, but as a child from a divorced home I can tell you that perhaps Mr. Baldwin is NOT totally at fault. Did any of you ever stop to think that perhaps he is frustrated because this or many other things have happened to prevent him from talking to Ireland? Sure he was wrong to take it out on her, but then again none of us have heard first hand both sides of the story either. When I was 10-11-12 etc, my Mother use to tell me all kinds of things about my Dad out of anger. She tried her hardest to turn me against him. Thankfully my Grandparents (Mom's parents), told me to be open minded and check things out first before I fell into my Mom's trap and turned against my Dad. The ex Mrs. Baldwin could quite possibly be so vindictive that she will say or do anything possible to sway Irelands mind against her Dad. Remember that there is a mighty big ocean between where Ireland is and Alec is, so it's not so easy to begin with. I think whoever leaked that phone message is definitely out to "get" Alec. Whether it be Kim or Ireland acting in a defensive mode; it was wrong nonetheless. Being that this involves a minor, I say leave it to the Family Court Authorities to sort out and refrain from bashing Mr. Baldwin until all the true facts are in. I can only imagine how frustrated he must be being so far from his child and I can also understand Kim wanting to shelter Ireland. However the two of them need to be the adults they supposedly are and come to an amicable agreement. From all indications thus far, it seems that their bitter divorce battle is still going on except now the child is being thrown in the mix and placed in the middle. This is NOT Irelands battle; it is between Alec and Kim and Heaven only hopes they can grow up and be civil about visitation etc. Perhaps if you were in this type of situation your thoughts might be different. All I suggest is that you base your opinions on FACTS and not one sided statements, or media edited words and phrases.
