It's not important that this message was put out over the media and internet. What is important is that this young lady be protected from further outbursts and that she and her father get the counseling necessary to overcome the damage done to her by his words. The worst abuse in the world is verbal abuse - bruises heal, bones knit and the abuser can be brought to accountability by the legal system, but words such as he said to this little girl are there forever. The effects, however, can be overcome with the right counselor and treatment. In the meantime, instead of worrying about the impact on his career, etc., I wish Mr. Baldwin would also seek counseling and learn how to appropriately direct and express his anger and frustration with his ex wife and his life!
